Female Health and Performance Expert joins Mint Diagnostics

Dr Emma Ross

We’re delighted to announce that Dr Emma Ross has joined the Mint Diagnostics team as a Female Health and Performance Consultant. Emma led the way on tackling taboos surrounding female athletes, having spent many years as Head of Physiology at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) where she developed and led the SmartHER campaign which aims to empower coaches, athletes and sports practitioners to better understand the exercising female. She recently founded her own company, Thrive Revolution, to educate and empower women to thrive in sport and beyond. Emma says ‘I am so excited to be partnering with Mint Diagnostics. I spend lots of my time educating and supporting women with their menstrual cycle, to tune in to the unique way they experience it, and to use that understanding to help  to alleviate symptoms or optimise their performance, in work, sport or life. Until now, the thing that has been missing is a convenient way to really see how the hormonal fluctuations of the cycle are connected to how women feel physically and emotionally. Two women can be experiencing the same symptom, but for very different reasons related to their hormone levels, how they peak and trough and their balance. Now, as a practitioner supporting women’s wellbeing and performance, I have a new super-tool to help women investigate and optimise their experience of their cycle’.
