Technical Operator (Prototyping and Manufacturing)
Location: Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Operator to ensure the sustained operational efficiency of the business and to support prototyping and manufacturing activities at the forefront of innovation in In Vitro Diagnostics and Point-of-Care devices.
You will assist in the day-to-day running of the fabrication laboratory, ensuring that it operates in a clean and safe manner and that equipment is maintained correctly and in good order.
You will assist in the prototyping of parts and production of materials for in-house use by our R&D group. You will execute and record laboratory experiments as per standard procedures to support R&D activities. You will also be involved in testing of incoming critical materials and the transfer of R&D processes into manufacturing.

Requirements:
- Experience in working in a laboratory environment
- Experience in working with rapid prototyping technologies (experience in 3D printing and laser cutting will be a plus) although training will be provided
- Good technical background preferably to degree level
- Excellent work ethic, must be able to work flexible hours/shifts if needed (including occasional weekend work if required)
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Good IT skills
- Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude and be able to perform well under pressure.
